A JOB, A HOBBY--REACH OUT FOR WHATEVER YOU CAN

You have to laugh at those Lotus "Work the Web" commercials. Anyone who's spent ten minutes online knows that the Web is still, first and foremost, the playground of the world's mildly creative idle class. Need more proof? Try these absolutely pointless sites: "John Tesh: Space Alien," at http://ic.net/~intvirus/teshpg1.html This is the site "that dares to insist" that the TV host/muzak-cian is from another world; "David Hasselhoff: The AntiChrist," at http://www.indirect.com/www/warren/baywatch.html which makes its case with some truly pitiable hand-doctored photos (the author actually draws horns and a goatee on one Hasselhoff portrait); and "All Hail Brak" at http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/4011/brak.html which, so far as we can tell, is one guy's rambling tribute to his nicknamed alter-ego (he also offers brief online lessons in conversational Italian). Thanks and a tip-o'-the-cap to whoever created http://www4.ncsu.edu/~dasimmon/www/olfact.html which is where we found links to all these neat sites.
