The National Center for Education Statistics has unveiled a prototype
search tool for locating US public elementary and secondary schools. Only a
limited amount of information is necessary to conduct a search and users
can modify their search by School Name, District Location, County, and
School Characteristics. Data returned includes number of classroom
teachers, total students, student/teacher ratio, and school population by
grade and race/ethnicity. [MD]
